A true highlight was passing through the Panama Canal from the Atlantic to the Pacific side on Vijonara<\/em>. The canal is an engineering masterpiece, opened in 1914 and operating flawlessly ever since. They can fill a lock, using only gravity, with about 300 million litres of water in eight minutes. The scale is mind-boggling, and I\u2019m happy we got to experience it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, that will make a huge difference to comms on board. The new marine Starlink antenna will give us high-speed broadband at sea even in the middle of the Pacific. The Eastbay 60 is a gorgeous design with a slippery, fuel-efficient hull and we have changed the interior layout to move the galley down and give longer sight lines to make it feel more open. We\u2019ve installed a Humphree electronic fin stabilizer package so she will be rock steady and with Volvo IPS drives very easy to manoeuvre.
